Farquhar

Map of FarquharThe Farquhar group, consisting of nine narrow islands, lies about 770 km from Mahé. Discovered in 1504 by a Portuguese navigator, Farquhar is the most southerly of the islands of the Seychelles. Characteristic of Farquhar are its high sand dunes reaching up to 12 metres.
