Distribution of Phelsuma modesta

Remark

We follow Nussbaum et al. (2000) that all subspecies of Phelsuma modesta are invalid and actually are colour variations. In their view, there is only a single southern Phelsuma with a dark lateral stripe, subequal subcaudal scales, smooth ventral scales, and sexual dichromatism. This is Phelsuma modesta, which includes all former subspecies; Phelsuma modesta leiogaster and Phelsuma modesta isakei.
